How does it work?Google Analytics tracks the activity of every visitor to your site (anonymously, to protect their privacy), and shows you this data in the form of numbers and charts. Here are some examples:
- How many visitors your website received over the past month?
- Where did they come from; Google searches, from social media, from ads, or somewhere else?
- Which pages were the most popular, and how long did they spend on each page?
- What journey did they take through your website, and did they come back another day?
The tricky thing about analytics is: There’s just so much information, it’s super hard to know what to look at; what to care about!
